Ayurveda is a term from the ancient Indian language Sanskrit and means "knowledge of life". It is one of the most comprehensive systems of medicine in the world, both in the physical/material and in the mental/spiritual sense. It views the human being as an indivisible unity of body, mind and soul. The aim of Ayurveda is that we should lead a healthy, contented and fulfilled life in the material world without neglecting our roots in the spiritual world.
The special, as it were the heart of Ayurvedic medicine, are the Ayurvedic cures with the oil therapies and Pancha-Karma, the purification procedures. They are a blessing for body, mind and soul and lead to a profound cleansing of the body, to general harmonisation, regeneration and thus to the stabilisation of health. However, in order for them to lead to the desired success, they should be started under the right conditions.
This book is intended to be a guide for you in this respect, to give you an insight into the procedure of an Ayurveda cure in an easily understandable way and to remove any ambiguities. In addition, this book with its practical instructions opens up the possibility for you to enjoy an Ayurvedic wellness or cleansing cure with soothing oil massages at home.

Ayurveda benefits:
Since ancient times, Ayurveda has advocated the benefits of drinking copper water. According to Ayurveda, if you place the infuser in the carafe or other container for a period of 4-12 hours (preferably overnight), the water becomes naturally alkaline. This happens because the copper positively charges and energizes the water, making it "alive" again. It also makes it taste silky smooth. The charged copper water helps to bring the tridosha (vata, kapha and pitta) of the body into balance. In Ayurveda, this transformed, therapeutic water is called "Tamra Jal".
Scientific benefits:
Studies show that copper can increase the pH and alkalinity of water and also has antibacterial properties. Laboratory tests with both filtered and unfiltered water containing harmful bacteria such as E. coli prove the antibacterial and antimicrobial properties of copper. Modern science calls this the oligodynamic effect - the inherently toxic effect of certain metals on pathogens.
